Watch House was founded in 2014 by Roland Horne in a converted 19th century watch house on Bermondsey Street in South London. From that single site, the business has grown into a network of Houses across London, Bath, New York and the UAE, with a Borough Market location on the way.

Watch House describes its approach as Modern Coffee, built on three pillars of coffee quality, design and hospitality. The company opened dedicated roasteries in London and New York in 2020 to take greater control of quality and profiling.

Coffees are organised into three ranges, Rituals, Ventures and Horizons, drawing on seasonal lots from origins including Ethiopia, Peru, Burundi, Rwanda, Colombia, Guatemala and Honduras. Alongside whole bean and ground coffee, Watch House offers Nespresso compatible pods, a decaf option and a subscription with free UK shipping.
