The Milk Shed is a specialty coffee roastery and café bar in Brighton, operating from a building that was originally a dairy supplying the Royal Pavilion in the 1800s. The space retains some connection to that history while functioning today as a roastery where customers can watch coffee being packed and dispatched.
The café runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3pm. They are a member of 1% for the Planet, donating a minimum of 1% of gross sales to environmental non-profits.
Packaging is carbon neutral, supplied by Dutch Pack, and espresso machines are La Marzocco. Roast profiles are developed using profiling software and checked batch by batch for consistency.
They also run in-person home barista courses at the roastery.
