Strangers Coffee

Strangers Coffee Company was founded in Norwich in 2009 by Alex Sargeant and Samuel Maddocks, with William Maddocks joining in 2014. The business has grown into a multi-site operation across Norwich with a roastery at 10 Dove Street in NR2, a cafe on Pottergate, and a window site on All Saints Green.

All roasting is done on-site at the Dove Street roastery. The coffee programme is light-roast focused, with a frequently rotating selection of single origins and processed lots.

Recent offerings have included carbonic naturals, anaerobic naturals, and red honey-processed Ethiopians, reflecting an interest in experimental processing methods. Strangers also wholesale to businesses across the UK and are sponsors of the Norwich Racing Team.
