Routes Coffee is based in Oxford and holds the distinction of being the UK's first Certified Regenified Coffee Roaster, a standard built around soil health, biodiversity, and producer wellbeing. The business grew out of a 30-country overland journey taken by its two founders, during which they spent time with farmers, roasters, and distributors across Asia and beyond.
That direct exposure shapes how they source: they describe visiting farms and walking fields with producers as part of their buying process, rather than working through intermediaries alone. Roasting takes place on a Giesen in Oxford, with the range spanning single origins, micro-lots, nano-lots, and blends, all shipped in compostable packaging.
Beyond the online shop, Routes operates across the UK at festivals and corporate events and has run pop-ups in Sydney, Lisbon, and Tokyo.
