Podda & Wren

Podda & Wren is a specialty coffee roaster based in Kendal, Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District. The business was previously trading as Fellside Coffee before rebranding.

The two directors, Ash and Jonathan, roast using electric-powered air roasters, a deliberate choice over traditional drum roasting, and use eco-friendly packaging. The roastery sells direct to consumers through an online shop open Monday to Saturday, with a subscription service and a small equipment range.

The focus is on traceable, single-farm coffees alongside a house blend called Fellside. The business does not operate a café or wholesale programme.
