Northern Edge Coffee

Northern Edge Coffee is a family-run roastery founded by Dan in 2014, based in Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland. They roast on a 12kg Probat and have since expanded to include a coffee house alongside the roastery.

The business is based at the very north of England, and they lean into that geography through their product naming: blends and single origins are named after local historical events and figures from Northumberland's past. Their decaf uses a CO2 process, which preserves flavour compounds more effectively than many chemical alternatives.

They sell online, stock independent outlets in the area and take wholesale enquiries. The operation is small and family-run, with a deliberate emphasis on consistency across roast batches.
