Fuel and Fable is a speciality roastery in the New Forest with a background that is genuinely unusual: its founder Matt was a racing instructor before opening what he describes as the first speciality coffee shop in Bedfordshire, an Icelandic-inspired cafe that went on to win awards.
Fuel and Fable is a speciality roastery in the New Forest with a background that is genuinely unusual: its founder Matt was a racing instructor before opening what he describes as the first speciality coffee shop in Bedfordshire, an Icelandic-inspired cafe that went on to win awards. He subsequently founded a direct-trade roastery, worked as a barista trainer across the industry, and ran a programme using coffee to teach skills and support rehabilitation in prisons.
The roastery now also runs a cafe in Christchurch, Dorset, where automotive and motorcycle culture is woven into the space and the events programme.
