Ffa Da, which translates from Welsh as "Good Beans", is a speciality roastery based in Llandanwg on the Cambrian coast in Gwynedd, North Wales. It was founded in 2019 by a former science teacher who began experimenting at home after finding the coffee available locally fell short of what was possible.
The operation remains deliberately small, selling direct from the website and from the roastery itself, with wholesale available for local stockists. The roastery has been featured in the Indy Coffee Guide for Wales.
The range is arabica-only, covering single origins and blends across a spectrum of roast profiles. Ffa Da also offers a zero-waste option where customers bring their own container to be filled, and runs a loyalty scheme for regular 1kg bag purchasers in place of a formal subscription.
Roastery collection is available, and the business operates pop-up appearances at Maes Cafe.
