Bella Barista has been trading since 1998 from its base in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, operating as both one of the UK's leading espresso machine retailers and an organic coffee roaster. The two sides of the business are housed together in a showroom and roastery on the Nene Court embankment, open to visitors during the week.
The roastery became the UK's first organisation to hold Regenerative Organic Certification, a standard backed by Patagonia's non-profit alliance that goes beyond organic to require soil health improvement and social fairness standards at origin. Bella Barista sources through direct trade relationships, including a new partnership for natural coffee from high-altitude farms in the Sironko region of Uganda.
The on-site facility is also an SCA Training Centre.
