An annual October festival held at St Mary's, a dramatic church venue in the Lace Market.
Nottingham Coffee Festival was started in 2022 by Josh Eaton and Matt Vassey, who came back from the London Coffee Festival thinking the Midlands lacked anything on that scale. In Eaton's words, there isn't much in the Midlands when it comes to a big event for the coffee scene. 2026 is its 5th year, so the gap they spotted has clearly held.
It runs for one day at St Mary's, a deconsecrated church in the historic Lace Market, which the organisers fairly call a bold and dramatic venue. Expect more than 1,000 visitors and over 40 local brands: roasters, machine makers, milk producers, coffee shops and food stalls.
The coffee is included in the ticket, so you can drink your way round the room. There are pourover demonstrations, a latte art competition featuring past Barista Champions, and paid workshops on milk steaming, cupping, home brewing and coffee cocktails. Sponsors include 200 Degrees and Victoria Arduino.
